What is it that grows inside
What is it that longs to mature
What is it that scares and excites
What is it that waits to be discovered

How did it begin so many years ago
How did it know that it would be embraced
How did it find a soul that it could nurture
How did it decide I would be the one

Why do I long without knowing
Why did it seek me of all people
Why can't I turn my back on it
Why do I care so much

So much sadness and so much darkness
So much evil and so much despair
So hard to see the light
So hard to know the good

I can see the dreams of others
I can feel what others cannot share
I know what thoughts they think
I know what others hide

My curse and gift since birth
My sanity in peril when awake
My reality in question if I dare sleep
My mind reaching further and further out

One day I may show the world
One day I may be ready
One day I hope to united the world
One day I hope the world can accept me
