born with a permanent disguise
forced to exist with blindfolded eyes
emotional roller coasters on cobblestone tracks
drowning in the rain that strikes my back

solitary i travel these lands
no one around to hold my hand
my lips quiver to show my fear
my head bowed down
to flow my tears

distant memories of a smile
to grace my face
clouded with cowardice
molded disgrace
a soul like a dove
free in its will
vulnerable love for society to kill

crossroads ahead with many twist
dream in my head
wish in my fist
torn between two directions
i long to cure this infection

road less traveled
plagued with mystery
truth unraveled
shunned by history

linger and loiter
and litter this world
ponder and wonder
is there a place for this girl

terrified to progress
distress heavy in my breast
but still my heart insist
so to procrastinate
i wish

wonderful poem. good rhythm and creative rhymes. i just wish it could be more optimistic and hopeful. I feel your pain I hope you find out soon that progressing is the only way. you cannot procrastinate and you cannot live a lie.
