this cloud follows me around
spawning twisters of sadness
pulling me down
i try and find shelter
but no shelter i have found
this heavy cloud is upon me
and it keeps weighing me down

i can see the sun in the distance
i hear the birds from afar
when the wind blows closer
i feel the light in my heart

the pain of fear fades
but i know its not for long
for experience has taught me
the repetition in this song

the cloud is upon me
its weighing me down
always seeking shelter
no shelter i have found

running in circles
continuous struggles
should i continue to fight
this pain in my chest
there is no end in sight

the world can be so cold
but i can see the fire from afar
and when the wind blows near
i feel the flame in my heart

will this be a memory tomorrow
will this be an ancient song
these are the questions im asking
will i learn to move on

growing tired of the pain
growing tired of this fog
growing tired of the hunger
growing tired of this cloud

but i wont give up so easy
ill continue to fight
im determined to change
even if there's no change in sight

running in circles
continuous struggles
this is my life
razor wire and hurdles
i have to try




i wrote this a few days ago while feeling very down but i am doing well again. please leave feedback. i want to know what you all think. thank you
