Unreal Smile

Staring at the mirror for a while,
i comtemplate that unreal smile.
And just like yesterday it happened again,
the reflection turned beautiful.

I cannot describe the person i see,
the image that is looking back at me.
Its hard to say how im filled up with joy
when i see myself looking back as a boy.

I see the muscular frame and the short, shaved hair,
the secret which i so long to share.
My eyes are the same, my nose and cheeks too
but inside i feel more true.

My mum thought back to when i was a kid,
how i was never quite with the things that i did.
I would insite on being called Chris or Matt or Dan
little did she know i was destined to be a man.

As i became aware of the people i met,
i think i thought it was time to forget,
to stop with the name games and "boy play",
and put all those thoughts away.

But the thoughts never went, neither did the desire
and only now has it begun to transpire,
the person in the mirror that i see,
that person is the real me.
